Rarely does an opportunity arise to completely redefine how Finance Shared Services operates across a major Australian enterprise.

Our client is one of Australia's largest and most respected ASX-listed organisations, operating a diversified national business with thousands of employees, multiple operating divisions and a complex finance environment. The business is embarking on a significant enterprise transformation, creating an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished finance leader to design, build and lead a next-generation Shared Services function.

Reporting to the Group CFO, this is far more than a traditional Shared Services leadership role. You will shape the future operating model, challenge existing ways of working and deliver a modern, technology-enabled finance function that creates genuine commercial value across the organisation.

This is a highly visible executive leadership position with responsibility for developing and executing the strategy for Finance Shared Services while leading a significant transformation program across people, process, technology and operating model.

You will:

• Develop and execute the future Finance Shared Services strategy and operating model.
• Lead a major transformation across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting and broader finance support services.
• Review the current onshore and offshore delivery model and determine the optimal future-state structure.
• Lead large-scale process redesign, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive technology enablement including ERP simplification, automation, AI and digital finance solutions.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on customer service, operational excellence and measurable business outcomes.
• Partner closely with executive stakeholders across multiple business divisions to deliver sustainable enterprise-wide change.

About You

You are an energetic, commercially astute and highly credible finance executive who thrives in complex transformation environments.

You will bring:

• Extensive leadership experience within large-scale Finance Shared Services environments.
• Demonstrated success leading significant finance transformation programs and operating model redesign.
• Deep understanding of finance processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting and transactional finance.
• Experience managing both onshore and offshore Shared Services delivery models.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead enterprise-wide change.
• Proven capability building high-performing teams and creating cultures of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Experience implementing or optimising ERP platforms and finance technologies.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance together with CA and/or CPA qualifications.
