Galvin Rowley Executive has been exclusively retained to appoint a Procurement Portfolio Manager – Supply Chain & Logistics for one of Australia's leading ASX-listed organisations.

Operating one of Australia's largest wholesale, distribution and logistics networks, our client services thousands of retail and trade customers through a national footprint of distribution centres, transport partners and supply chain operations.

As the organisation continues its procurement transformation, this newly created role offers the opportunity to partner with senior operational leaders to deliver strategic sourcing initiatives across logistics, transport, warehousing and supply chain infrastructure.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Procurement Partnering – Supply Chain & Logistics, you will play a critical role supporting the commercial procurement strategy across freight, warehousing, 3PL providers and operational services.
You will manage a diverse procurement portfolio, coordinate sourcing initiatives, develop commercial recommendations and provide governance and reporting across a significant national spend portfolio.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone wanting to broaden their exposure across enterprise procurement while working with experienced procurement leaders.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic procurement initiatives
  • Deliver sourcing projects across transport, freight, warehousing and logistics
  • Lead commercial analysis and supplier evaluations
  • Develop business cases and executive recommendations
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Distribution Centre and Operations leaders
  • Drive supplier performance and governance disciplines
  • Track savings, commercial outcomes and procurement performance
  • Support procurement transformation initiatives
About You 
You will ideally possess:
 
  • 7+ years procurement, sourcing or commercial experience
  • Strong exposure to freight, logistics, transport, warehousing or operational services
  • Experience leading sourcing activities within large complex organisations
  • Excellent commercial and analytical capability
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong procurement governance and contract management knowledge
  • Advanced Excel and presentation capability
  • Tertiary qualifications (CIPS advantageous)
