“Act locally, think nationally” – our client is seeking a senior operations leader who can provide both hands-on guidance and big-picture strategic oversight during an important phase of transformation.
About the Organisation
Our client operates multiple complex sites across Australia and is entering a new chapter focused on operational excellence, safety, and long-term growth.
The Role
The National Operations Manager-Recycling will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Managing Director and Chair of the Board. With responsibility for four Site Managers and approximately 70 employees, you will drive consistency, compliance, and high performance across the national network.
Your remit will cover:
· Leading people and developing teams to deliver their best.
· Embedding a culture of safety and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards.
· Working closely with the National Facilities and Equipment Manager and Technical Director to manage diverse plant and equipment to optimise efficiency and reliability.
· Driving operational and financial performance across all sites.
· Building a collaborative, high-performance culture where teams feel supported and empowered.
About You
We are seeking a leader with proven experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain – bringing operational rigour and strategic capability into a multi-site environment.
You will bring:
· A track record of people leadership and development, engaging teams through change.
· Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale plant and equipment.
· Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory frameworks.
· Strategic capability to think nationally while remaining close to day-to-day operations.
· Experience leading across multiple sites with varied operating conditions.
