People & Culture Business Partner - Tasmania

Location: TAS Other Salary: $120k - $140k

Lead People Strategies with Impact - Across a Multi-Site, Blue-Collar and Retail Environment across Tasmania.

About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Business Partner – Retail Lead, you will partner closely with leaders across the Tasmanian retail and operational network to:
  • Drive people strategy and provide high-level HR advice aligned with business goals
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture through effective performance management, L&D, and engagement practices
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, workforce planning, and organisational development
  • Champion the development of talent pipelines and succession strategies across multiple sites
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and team cohesion
  • Support recruitment, retention, and reward frameworks to attract and retain top talent
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation, awards, and internal policies
About You
We are seeking an HR professional who is:
  • Commercially focused and outcomes-driven, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experienced in supporting multi-site environments, ideally within construction, industrial or retail sectors but encourage interested individualsfrom other industry sectors to apply.
  • An effective problem solver with the agility to pivot between strategic planning and hands-on delivery
  • An expert in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and change initiatives
  • Comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, with a strong commitment to relationship-building at all levels
  • Tech-savvy and data-informed, with strong experience across HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a P&C Business Partner or senior HR generalist role
  • Proven success in implementing people strategies in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and award interpretation
