As part of their ongoing commitment to SHE standards, they are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Advisor to drive improvements in their SHE culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
About the Role:
Reporting to the National Risk and Safety Manager this is a key role in continuing strong collaboration and active engagement with operational leaders and other key stakeholders across the business.
As the SHE Advisor, you will be instrumental in enhancing our clients’ SHE culture, implementing effective safety programs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to identify risks, develop strategies for improvement, and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the distribution centres and logistics areas.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams to identify risks, develop strategies for improvement, and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the distribution centres and logistics areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement SHE Programs: Design, implement, and manage safety, health, and environmental programs to improve workplace safety and promote a positive SHE culture.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. Monitor SHE audit outcomes as well as injury and incident trends to identify areas for improvement opportunities.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental incidents, inspections, and compliance activities. Prepare and present reports to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in SHE practices and processes. Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes, and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to integrate SHE considerations into operational practices and support a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Candidate will need to be able to demonstrate
- Bachelor’s degree Or Masters in SHE or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHE role, from within a distribution or logistics environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of SHE, risk management, workers compensation and injury management frameworks
- Expert understanding of safety regulations, environmental laws, and health standards. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices along with Australia and New Zealand safety and environmental legislation
- Energetic, proactive and self-driven with a desire to drive self and others to achieve
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, develop solutions, and drive change; detail-oriented
- Committed to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
