The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Group Director People & Culture Business Partnering provides leadership to the P&C business partnering team delivering consistent, accurate, timely and valuable people services across Epworth to support our strategic priorities. This key leadership role will work to achieve impactful business outcomes through:
- embedding a ‘One Epworth’ approach to P&C Business Partnering to enhance a collaborative, team oriented, integrated and future focused service delivering on our highest priorities in an efficient and effective way;
- working closely with Epworth’s Chief Operating Officer and Hospital Executive Teams to identify opportunities, plan for and provide workforce initiatives and people services across Epworth in a consistent and sustainable manner;
- leading a high performing People & Culture business partnering team (7) who feel engaged, motivated and supported to develop and grow;
- leading, driving and embedding a safety first and wellbeing culture;
- enhancing business performance through the delivery of effective people practices; and
- building and strengthening productive relationships that promote collaboration across the broader People & Culture team and with other departments.
The Person
Epworth HealthCare are looking to appoint a talented leader to deliver outstanding outcomes through team leadership of prioritising, planning and road-mapping delivery of robust, effective workforce initiatives and people services across Epworth.
As Business Partner to the Chief Operating Officer, it is expected you will be a confident and engaging individual who can initiate discussions and engage with stakeholders to identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities to streamline and enhance the delivery of people services as well as collaborate with Epworth senior leaders and P&C Colleagues to effectively manage all people aspects of change initiatives.
As Business Partner to the Chief Operating Officer, it is expected you will be a confident and engaging individual who can initiate discussions and engage with stakeholders to identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities to streamline and enhance the delivery of people services as well as collaborate with Epworth senior leaders and P&C Colleagues to effectively manage all people aspects of change initiatives.
Key Hiring Criteria
Interested candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
- Degree qualifications in Human Resources or Employment Relations. Master’s Level Qualification e.g., Master of Business Administration or Human Resources (desirable)
- Human Resources leadership experience at a Director or higher level within a large, complex environment.
- Experience in the Healthcare Sector essential
- Demonstrated and significant generalist Human Resources expertise
- Proven track record in leading, coaching and developing others
- Achievement of identified deliverables in people aspects of multiple major change initiatives
- Demonstrated positive and collaborative stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational, planning, coordination and analytical capability
- Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to changes in schedules and priorities
- Prepared to make a commitment to Epworth HealthCare’s mission and values
- Comfortable to challenge the status quo
- Dynamic and strategic thinking leader, bringing a strong focus and alignment to outcomes and implementation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, combined with exceptional leadership capability.
- Robust business acumen, a strong analytical mind and able to work collaboratively with a diverse group
