Head of Procurement Partnering – HR & Corporate Services

Sydney | Hybrid | Major Transformation

Join a leading Australian corporation with a substantial national presence in driving a major procurement overhaul to improve capability and performance. Managing a key $300M HR and Corporate Services expenditure, you will develop and implement a new partnering model that optimises costs, supplier performance, risk management, and governance across business-enabling services.

The Opportunity:
This newly established senior role will lead the procurement efforts across HR, Professional Services, Travel, Corporate Services, and other indirect categories. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to senior HR, Corporate Affairs, and Executive stakeholders, you will design and execute category strategies, lead significant sourcing and negotiations, embed supplier governance, and deliver measurable value supporting the organisation’s broader transformation and ESG commitments.
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver multi-year category plans for HR services, consulting, recruitment tech, travel, insurance, marketing, legal, office supplies and more.
  • Lead complex sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance frameworks.
  • Partner closely with senior HR, Corporate Affairs, Finance and Executive leaders as a strategic commercial advisor.
  • Champion responsible sourcing, social procurement and ESG-aligned supplier practices.
  • Build, coach and develop a small, focused team of strategic procurement partners.
  • Use data insights and analytics to drive cost optimisation and governance improvements.


About You   
You are a seasoned procurement professional with proven expertise across indirect and corporate spend categories. You bring:
  • 15+ years in procurement and commercial leadership roles, ideally within large, complex organisations.
  • Deep experience across HR, professional services, travel, insurance, marketing and similar categories.
  • Strong governance, negotiation and supplier performance capability.
  • A practical, sleeves-rolled-up style, with the confidence to influence at C-suite level.
  • Commitment to building a collaborative culture and driving transformation outcomes.
