A unique opportunity has emerged for a commercially minded and technically strong Assurance Senior Manager to join a major Australian consumer group. With a national footprint and a portfolio of iconic brands, this organisation continues to lead the market through innovation, operational excellence, and customer-led growth.

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, this role offers significant scope to deliver meaningful audit and assurance work across the business, while contributing to team leadership, capability building, and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage risk-based internal audit reviews across financial, operational, and compliance areas
  • Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to drive effective risk management
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence business outcomes
  • Integrate and coordinate work with third-party assurance providers
  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee
  • Mentor team members and contribute to succession planning and continuous improvement
  • Support ad hoc value-adding projects across the broader assurance agenda
  
What You Bring
  • Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) or equivalent qualification
  • 7–12 years’ total experience, including 3–8 years in Internal Audit within FMCG, retail, or large consumer-facing organisations
  • Foundation in Big 4 or mid-tier audit, with a commercial mindset and strong business acumen
  • Ability to confidently navigate complexity, ambiguity, and executive-level conversations
  • Gravitas, presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Passion for assurance excellence and team development
