Job Description

Our client is a leading, Australian owned, digital business consulting company.  Working with its customers to make them more competitive by leveraging technology, their solutions drive superior customer engagement.  Key industries including Financial Services, Utilities, Healthcare and Government.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate with strong Financial Services experience selling consulting or digital technology solutions (application development) to the sector.  You will be able to demonstrate ‘C’ level engagement and able to sell $500K - $1M solutions.

Reporting to the Regional Executive Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join a niche professional services company growing nationally and internationally.  Responsibilities will include:
  • Build a strong and reliable pipeline of opportunities.
  • Build relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Work with Marketing to develop events/programs to support pipeline development.
  • Determine the customer’s business imperatives and buying process and criteria.
  • Develop and execute account plans for key customers.
  • Understand the major competitors (strengths & weaknesses) within the relevant territory.
  • Understand key industry trends and business drivers.
  • Identify opportunities to on-sell additional solutions and services within the existing customer base and current projects.
  • Shape opportunities to be outcome-based project work.
  • Negotiate commercial arrangements with customers.
The Person

It is expected candidates will be able to demonstrate tertiary qualifications together with at least ten years relevant work experience including 3+ years demonstrable track record in sales with quota attainment of $5M per year.

You will need to have a strong network of business contacts; be a self-starter with the ability to open new doors and a track record of solution selling including CRM, Digital solutions and transformational consulting engagements. 

A strong background in sales and account management together with experience in negotiating complex deals with multiple internal and external stakeholders (including Procurement).  Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. You will be able to work effectively in a professional services team environment and have a superior ability to understand, articulate and address business issues, business drivers and needs.  The ability to influence direction of a senior management group is also critical.
