Job Description

Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing, this exciting opportunity will appeal to a talented Marketing professional keen to continue building their career with a premium brand.

Based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, this role will act a as brand champion for Queensland and take ownership for supporting the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Brand Development
  • Assist in the development of, in consultation with the GM Sales & Marketing new strategies/ideas for the promotion of the brand in Queensland.
  • Assist in the development of the coordination of activities to support the brand strategies. 
  • Ensure that marketing activities support and reflect the brand positioning.
  • Oversee and manage events in Queensland.
  • Ensure all Queensland materials, print and advertising are in alignment with the Brand and image.
  • Ensure all Point of Sale material is current, accurate and accessible amongst the Queensland sales force.
  • Leverage the Melbourne marketing efforts and make changes where needed to suit the Queensland market.
  • Manage all creative briefs through the support of the concept brief, manage agency costs, timeframes and adherence to initial brief.
Marketing Communications
  • Provide advice to the GM Sales & Marketing to assist in the development and implementation of the overall Marketing communications strategy for Queensland.
  • Oversee and coordinate print management needs, including publications, collateral, local press, website and all other relevant modes of communication for Queensland.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Queensland advertising plan in consultation with the GM Sales & Marketing.
  • Oversee and coordinate regular website content updates for the Queensland website, leveraging where possible content developed for Victoria.
Website Management
  • Research and provide recommendations on how to maximise the effectiveness of Queensland website through design, content and placement
  • Proactively manage the review and development of the Queensland website to ensure its user-friendliness and functionality
  • Suggest and manage necessary enhancements to Queensland websites as required in a timely and cost effective manner
Product Launches
& Promotions
  • Oversee and manage new Queensland product launches across print, digital and display spaces.
  • Provide recommendations on cost effective solutions across print and digital for changes to product ranges
  • Oversee extended promotion of Queensland new product launches and promotions including, as required, local press, SEM, PR and award submissions
Relationship Development
  • Develop and manage all key relationships with clients, suppliers, service providers and media organisation and all other relevant contacts
  • Communicate to key contacts new product promotions, other company promotions, functions, launches, seminars etc. in order to develop broader population awareness of company and manage established relationships
  • Maintain excellent relationships with staff to enhance the awareness of and promotion of Marketing Strategies and initiatives
Projects & Administration
  • Maintain accurate and timely administration and documentation of Marketing activity
  • Aid in the management of the marketing budget through timely and accurate invoice management
  • As required, provide project management and marketing communication support to new initiatives
People Management and Leadership
  • Provide inspiring leadership, and mentorship, encouraging innovation and creativity
  • Supporting competency management and proactive investment in team members through tailored development
  • Collaborate with other departments, allowing cross department problem solving
