Job Description

An outstanding global opportunity has become available as Global Director Retail & eCommerce with a beautiful global specialty retail brand operating across key markets including Australia, New Zealand, UK, US, Europe and Asia.    As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the role will report to the Managing Director and lead a team of 4 direct reports and an overall team of 900.  The successful candidate will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the organization and have primary day-to-day responsibility for developing, driving and implementing strategies across the global retail and eCommerce markets with a customer first lens.  This includes development of right range portfolios by market, retail and eCommerce performance and executing customer first initiatives that are based on market insights.  Influence product development & merchandise planning that delivers against the sales targets across channels and markets.

The Person
As a Retail & eCommerce expert, it is expected you will be an outstanding leader with strong commercial acumen and financial capability with the ability to build strategic relationships and collaborate effectively with Brand, SC, Product, Finance and People as well as align communication, people, culture and processes to drive flawless execution of the organisation’s objective and build and lead an engaged team that is committed to the sales organisation and its bottom line.  You will have the ability to analyse and apply financial data to identify market opportunities and leverage resources to maximise profit as well as use insight into market and customer drivers to capitalise on key business opportunities as well as development of right range portfolio priorities by market by channel based on customer and market insights developed in partnership with the Brand Director. 

Whilst the Head office is based in Melbourne, there is the opportunity for the successful candidate to operate remotely from any State/Territory in Australia.
