Our client is a well established and growing business looking to appoint a highly experienced Engineering Operations Manager. This role will have responsibility for the overall leadership, reputation, engineering, and day-to-day operations of the organisation. Reporting to the Owner and Managing Director, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of highly skilled technical staff to deliver outstanding services to corporate and government clients. The position will also build and sustain critical relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and in consultation with the Managing Director, be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s strategic plan. The role of Engineering Operations Manager will ensure services are delivered reflecting best practice in Engineering, Technical and Operational matters, always striving to improve the quality of service provided at the same time building organisational capability, championing the organisation’s culture, and delivering a framework for high quality partnerships.
It is expected the successful candidate will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer (preferred) however strong trade and/or technically qualified candidates will be considered. We are expecting to appoint a Manager with strong leadership experience either from a corporate environment or in a similar size organisation where the key focus is on building a positive work culture and ensuring ongoing sustainability through competent operational management, engineering and people management. Strengths in strategic planning; excellent project reporting; outstanding customer service including responding promptly and effectively to existing and new clients; maintaining and improving systems and processes to ensure safety and efficiencies; plus managing and maintaining the company's Quality and Risk Program are all critical elements of this role.
