Our client is one of the world’s most successful industrial product companies offering outstanding opportunities in a wide range of professional fields around the world.
With world-class products and services, the company provides business solutions for large corporates as well as small-medium sized businesses. Products and services include new forklifts, forklift hire, automated components, batteries/charging technology, racking/warehouse storage as well as digital products.
As a result on ongoing growth in Australia, they are now looking to appoint this key role to drive new business development focusing on bids & tenders for large projects, fleet and broader business solutions.
This role will be responsible for capturing new business opportunities in integrated intra-logistics solutions. This will involve monitoring the market, mapping and research to ensure all business opportunities are tracked in advance.
Extensive stakeholder management; review and preparation of detailed tender documents including fleet analysis and development of customer specific entry strategies. Working with internal stakeholders you will be able to work cohesively as part of a broader business development “team”.
It is expected the successful candidate will have the skills and experience to prepare outstanding customer presentations (both in person as well as preparation of documentation) including technical and legal clarification of contracts; strong customer project experience and capability as well the ability to manage negotiations and completion of tenders/project documents. Your ability to develop long-standing customer relationships will be critical to the success of the role.
The successful candidate will bring a “proactive and team approach”, with a communicative style both internally within the Sales Team and externally with customers.
Primarily the focus will be on lapsed business opportunities and identifying new opportunities by being "on the ground" to new sites, relocations, upgrades etc.
You will have experience from within a Business Development role where you have been involved in the tender process.
With strengths in collation and comprehension of research to formulate a winning bid, you will have outstanding articulation and writing skills.
Previous experience in writing tenders and working within the bid process are essential, as it a proven background in new business development within an industrial or aligned industry, together with your ability to bring strong process improvement thinking will be highly regarded.
This role would suit someone who has worked with a product based tender process, ideally from within an industrial environment, however, there is full support and training in the company's offerings.
$90K base salary plus statutory superannuation, plus $15K car allowance and commission per successful deal.
